Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helping individuals identify their core values and take actionable steps toward living meaningful, values-driven lives, even in the presence of difficult emotions.

As a certified PCIT therapist, Dr. DeDilectis focuses on strengthening parent-child relationships and empowering families to navigate challenging behaviors effectively. She aims to empower parents to manage challenging behaviors while fostering a nurturing and structured environment. Her approach emphasizes leading a values-driven life, even when distress is present, empowering clients to take meaningful action despite the challenges. Her extensive experience working with youth who have experienced trauma allows her to provide compassionate and trauma-informed care, utilizing evidence-based practices to help individuals process their experiences and build resilience.

In addition to working with youth, Dr. DeDilectis is dedicated to supporting pre- and post-natal mothers in navigating the unique challenges associated with pregnancy and the postpartum period. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to address perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, adjustments to parenthood, and the emotional impacts of birth experiences. Her goal is to help mothers build resilience, strengthen self-compassion, and develop coping strategies to foster well-being during this significant life transition. Overall, Dr. DeDilectis’ goal is to create a safe, supportive space where youth and their families can overcome obstacles and build fulfilling, connected lives.

Dr. DeDilectis provides comprehensive psychological and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents. Her assessments are designed to identify learning differences, ADHD, emotional concerns, and other factors that may affect a child’s academic and social-emotional functioning. These evaluations offer valuable insights that guide personalized intervention and support plans. In addition to her work at Caring Cove, she has extensive experience providing court-ordered forensic psychological evaluations for juveniles involved in the criminal justice system and forensic psychosocial evaluations for youth who have disclosed child maltreatment, offering critical insights to inform legal decisions and support the well-being of young people.

Dr. DeDilectis obtained her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from William Paterson University and holds a master’s degree in child and adolescent clinical psychology from Montclair State University.
