Alexandra Peterson, MAP, PsyM has always been passionate about helping children and families through evidence-based treatments. As a Clinical Administrative Assistant at Caring Cove, Alex works closely with families to meet their unique goals and considers each family’s individual needs. She coordinates appointments, assists with program development and completes initial phone screens. She is also available to assist with any logistical questions related to care.
Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University with a major in psychology and a minor in history. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Prior to attending graduate school, Alex worked as a Classroom Assistant at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center at Rutgers University. Her current clinical and research interests focus on evidence-based treatments for individuals with anxiety disorders, as well as health psychology. Alex is particularly interested in the influence of chronic illness on mental well-being.
In her free time, Alex loves hiking, listening to music, and lounging with her pet cat, Thomas.
